Can you invest in crypto as an IB analyst?
Title says it all. I know we have certain trade restrictions on the desk, but does anybody know if I'll be able to use my robinhood account to invest in crypto currencies as the price on them surges?
You won’t be able to use Robinhood so be prepared to get rid of that. But yes, crypto shouldn’t be an issue
Not your keys, not your coins. Use something other than RH like Coinbase, Gemini, or Kraken. Then transfer to your hardware wallet.
Just buy it, send to cold storage, nobody will know
Why would you not be able to invest in crypto?
I don't know of a single bank that lets their staff use Robinhood to begin with.
Outside of that, I don't know of any restrictions on crypto
No restrictions that I know of other than Robinhood ban. Planning on continuing to invest and trade once my full time job starts.
You can trade on your own account since crypto isn't a security per the SEC. If they change their mind, you won't be able to (per the rules).

Who banned RBHD? Why would a bank ban employees from doing business with a client?
