Eric Adams Token Rugpull

The former nyc mayor launched a crypto token and then rugpulled it for ~$3MM. Apart from it being hilarious (as he is a known crook of Gotham city level) and I have never heard of someone of any political alignment being a self-professed eric adams supporter, will there actually be consequences? Do you guys think he'll go to jail for this?

Dude creates a "stop anti-Semitism" coin and rugpulls it for millions 😂

I don't know if he actually gets arrested (he should) but if we think big picture I believe the number of laughs he's given everyone collectively is worth $3.5m.

Edit:

Oh my god this promotional video he posted is GOLD

Man, if you’re going to scam people, you really should be setting your sights a bit higher than $3M…

Well, Donald Trump is not only a professed Adams supporter, but also happens to be a crypto con man.

So even if he does, I suspect another pardon may be forthcoming.

A Democrat mayor does a crypto rugpull, but it's Trump again... y'all lefties are just deathly allergic to accountability at any level huh?

What?  How illiterate can you be.  Of course Mr Adams is a scumbag.  That wasn't the question.  I guess when you come from a long line of grade school dropouts who marry their immediate relatives, reading comprehension is a struggle, but for chrissakes no one forced you to make this absurdly stupid comment.

No one is questioning whether Adams is a crook, whether this was a rugpull (though I don't know anything about it, I believe it wholeheartedly of Mr Adams), or anything to do with anything you've so illiterately vomited onto this thread.  The question was, will there be consequences?

In that context, mentioning that Mr Trump, who has previously let Eric Adams for crimes he manifestly did commit, is perfectly normal.  The fact that Mr Trump is also a convicted con man who has also used crypto to line his own pockets seems to be highly relevant to the question of whether he'll pardon a guy again for doing the exact same thing.  Or dismiss the charges, I suppose, though it amounts to the same thing.

Jesus.  Do us all a favor and go back to jacking it to Leni Riefenstahl films in your mom's basement, or wherever you crawled from, instead of this kind of weak ass projection.

Trump dropped the criminal charges against Adams last year.  Adams failed to see any consequences for his actions and continued to scam people.  So yes, it does have something to do with Trump
