Consultants = physician/expert KOLs for biotech reports focused on specific drugs. For sector reports/landscape reports sometimes we collaborate with T2/boutique healthcare consulting firms (LEK, etc.) to access their surveys or to develop a landscape report but that’s not the norm

 

When I was finishing High School in the greater midwest, I was told by 3 or more high-finance guys that Bio ER was entirely dominated, not by fussy, cocke-bottle-glasses phDs, but by CFAs, Investment Banking associates, & ER afficionados. I wasn't exaclty lied to--dozens from Cowen, Barclays, UBS and more are ('were') CFAs and Management undergrads, or more frequently Finance UG's with MBAs or CFAs. I looked around and saw a wave of unheard doctors, pharmDs and PAs who were focused on clinic, allowing "Da Bi'dn'ess guys" to run the "business" side of medical ER.
