Not Getting a Return Offer

Hi everyone, sorry for another post related to this subject, I know there has been a lot on WSO recently, but I’m looking for some advice going forward.

I just finished my junior summer internship in ER at a boutique MM firm. There were six interns (including me), and no one got a return offer. I always received positive feedback and got my work done on time, but there was no capacity in our research department to add any new associates.

I’m unsure what the best approach from here is for FT recruiting. I plan on following up with those in my network, and continuing to reach out to new people, but I want to do this in the most efficient way possible.

I’m graduating a semester early (December), so any advice on how to move forward would be appreciated. Additionally, while I want to stay in research, I’m open to other career options as well. However, long-term I’d love to end up in research.
