Breaking in for less pay
As stated, trying to decide about breaking into equity research for less lay then I currently make.
Right now I work in NYC for a major French bankin operations, but have been offered a position as a sell side associate at a boutique firm. Not having experience in ER, I have been trying to break and this has been my first interview/offer for the eight months on the grind.
Has anyone ever taken less money to get into a different role and would this be a smart move? Also, can anyone in ER shed inside into the salary as you progress in the field?
Thanks.
