Breaking to ER - CFA/Stock pitches/Networking

Want to break into ER with no experience in it, but not sure if CFA is worth pursuing, despite hearing about its global reputation. Any advice? Also, how do I get into stockpitching/writing up equity research reports and posting on LinkedIn or somewhere. Any advice on that?

I am currently a Corporate Financial analyst in a semiconductor company but would like some advice on how to prepare to break into ER from this point.

Thanks in advance!
