ER from Big 4 Business Valuation (advisory)?

Hi everyone,

I'm finishing up my senior year in undergrad and have accepted a position with a Big 4 firm for advisory, business valuation. I'm excited about the opportunity to shape up my modeling, accounting, and analysis skills but I understand much of it will be a glorified audit role. I've recently wrapped up a course which required 3 investment theses of 3 different companies. These included full fundamental, absolute, and relative valuations and I ended up learning a considerable amount of accounting and modeling. I understand I am by no means an equity researcher, but it has piqued my interest and I was curious how likely it might be for me to switch from Bval to ER after I get my CFA? I understand if I go to Bschool my chances are very likely, as I would (hopefully) have a CFA+MBA. However, I'm an nontraditional student and would much rather continue working than going back to school (if possible). Thoughts?

TIA!
