How do firms keep track of events that affect their holdings? [I'm from a Data background]
Hi folks,
I used to work at Bloomberg as an Engineer, working on tools to publish data on macro-economic indicators and commodities. I'm curious how things work on the consumer side of things.
How do your teams keep track of:
1. Catalyst that directly affect the value of holdings.
2. Cascading effects of an event - for example, say you receive news on issues with supply chain of TSMC, this would affect Nvidia's obligations to customers like say Tesla and as a result Tesla may experience production issues (just a rough example). So TSMC -> Nvidia -> Tesla
What's the workflow used to keep track of this and what tools are used?
Cheers.
