Qualifications advice

Hi guys,

I recently graduated from a top 5 business school in Canada in finance (BBA), my GPA isn't excellent but I do have experience in cold calling and market research for a microfinance newspaper, also 4 months as an M&A analyst intern for a pharmaceutical marketing firm. Initially I was quite hesitant as to which field/department I wanted to work in, but having found this site and this forum and having done more research elsewhere, equity research is really what I want to do.

I had a few questions regarding qualifications:

• Would a graduate degree in business intelligence be useful when it comes to improving the quality of one's quantitative research abilities?

• If combined with a CFA (which I have yet to start), could that be a profile that recruitment officers would find interesting?
