Quantitative Reasoning Tests for ER interviews

Well, folks. I've got an interview set up with an equity research group at a CS / UBS / DB type of firm. I'm supposed to take a "Quantitative Reasoning" test as part of the interview process.

Doesn't particularly sound worrisome, but I'm hoping someone can give me an idea as to what I should expect. I've been out of the serious interviewing game for a while now, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Im only at summer analyst stage but I've taken loads of numerical reasoning tests when applying for BBs etc. I'm fairly sure the difficulty standards of the tests do not change much from SA to analyst etc... Find out if the test provider for the firm is SHL or Kenaxia. DB and Credit Suisse use Kenaxia and UBS uses SHL. Either way I have mock tests from both test provider saved on my computer. If you think that your testing may be similar I'd be more than happy to send them over.

I've also had to take "quantitative reasoning" tests online for some internship applications (usually when applying to international offices). Those are very easy, similar to the SAT, and I've heard that you just need to get something like over 50% to not get dinged anyways.

That said, no idea if you'll be doing the same type of thing. What level of position are you applying for?

Thanks for the replies. This is more or less what I assumed, but I want to make sure I don't go in and get blindsided by anything. It's been a while since I've taken one of these (I'm a second year in PE, did three years in MM IBD, looking to move out of the deal game and into something more like ER.) I'm applying for an Associate role, the position was looking for someone with some experience in finance / banking.

Out of curiosity, isn't Associate role in ER = fresh grad role? Why ain't you applying for an experienced hire role? That way, you wouldnt need to go through assessment centre and all the online testing?
