Significance of Non-Deal Roadshows?

Hey Monkeys,

I'm analyzing a company that has had a recent spike in Non-Deal Roadshow activity. It's a small company (~$350mm in market cap.) who went public in 2005, and had a secondary offering earlier this year. Obviously they're looking to draw in additional investors, but are there any other major themes I should be taking away from this, like possible acquisitions? Or is this behavior fairly common before earning releases (they announce early November)?

Thanks in advance for the help!

If possible you should try and find out what some of the common themes in these meetings are. But generally speaking non-deal roadshows are just part of being a public company, especially a small one. Companies differ in their travel preferences though - some like to get out and pitch the story as much as they can, some would rather stay at the office and actually run the company. Bottom line is that a busy travel schedule alone isn't going to be enough to extrapolate some grander theme.
