Top Certifications for Equity Research Analysts

Hello

I know the CFA is probably the best credential you can have getting a job in Equity Research, but would like to know if anyone would share certifications that have the highest ROI. I am currently a grad student trying to break into Equity Research and want to increase my marketability and be able to get through interview questions pretty easily. I have head great thing about the FMVA that CFI offers, but that leans more on the IB side. I am currently contemplating using WallStreetMojo - they have a course called Equity Research and it seems be be pretty thorough in regards to coverage of material. Besides the CFA, MS, MBA, would anyone mind sharing their thoughts and experiences. Any advice would be much appreciated as well.

Thanks

"dickthesellsider" You increase marketability by networking and showcasing your work product - stock write-up and excel model of that stock.

Having certifications is just a way of saying "I CAN do this" but having a book of models and reports shows "I HAVE already done this." They don't have to be flawless and beautiful reports, but write your own analyst reports and track your performance.

As for credentials, they are all just HUGE time sucks. The monetary cost will always be justifiable because of the payoff after obtaining, but is that the best use of your time?
