Attire for a Regional Job
I just got an offer from a smaller regional bank in IB (DCM) for FT analyst. The desk I work on wears slacks and a dress shirt. What quality of shirts and shoes should I wear? I have Jos. A Banks shirts ($50 shirts) and Clarks shoes ($70). I have looked through some of these posts and see $400-600 shoes, would this be the norm at a regional bank too? Or just for the BB and Boutiques?
I am also considering wearing a sport coat. I have always heard that you can't be overdressed. But, if my colleagues are always just wearing shirts, could/should I wear a sport coat?
