"Broccoli Haircut" in Investment Banking Inappropriate?
Yo yo, incoming SA about to start up and someone from my school recently said something that fucked me up that I had never thought about before. They asked me if I was going to cut my hair before starting work. I do indeed rock what is commonly referred to as a "Broccoli Cut". My hair is basically the exact same as the picture at the bottom except it's dark brown with a few (not wildly noticeable) frosted tips that I'm not going to get re-done until my internship is over. I have the line shaved into the fade too. Will not be wearing any piercings and don't have any noticeable tattoos.
My question is basically is this something that I'm going to get hated on for? In all reality, I'm not willing to change it, because I like my hair and don't see why anyone else needs to care about it. I also acknowledge that there are a lot of very conservative people in IB, especially in Houston where I will be interning. I don't want to make a shitty impression as my uncle who is a group head in the NYC office stuck his neck out to help me get the position so I do not want to reflect like a snot-nosed, spoiled kid.

This is A+ shitposting. Thank you.
Plx fix fade, needs to be higher & tighter. Thx.

Lmao
My brother in christ, no cap- that cut will deadass have all the boomers lowkey dabbing on you fr. You might be tempted to sleep on what some boomer has to say because they ain't got shit for rizz, but without their approval you won't get any bread. They don't vibe with cuts like that and will think your polish is sus and will yeet you tf out of there.
This right here is why I open WSO.
Same here brother
No skibiddy, you deadass wiggin' G. On gang I got fam in high places and used to go on hunting trips with these boomers. I rizzed 'em up early from day 1 as a young bread and now I'm dead ass fully out here while simultaneously being in this hoe.
Boomers can catch these hands on my Jake Paul shit, I'm keeping my shit quaffed the fuck up and just gonna take out the line in the fade next time I get it shaped up.
The haircut is appropriate for back office. Best of luck.
As long as you pull some back office baddies you won’t be seen badly.

No offence, looks like the mop the caretakers use to clean the bathroom floor.
I'm an old person - a mommy - I see a lot of young men with this haircut and generally it's pretty cute. We get it, it's the style. But there are degrees. If your hair is really long on top, wild, unruly, just unkempt - and I think you know what I mean - no one is likely to say anything, but it doesn't reflect so well on your acceptance of your position as a mature young adult. You don't have to get rid of your hairstyle, but maybe you can style it to be a little less of a focus point in your appearance (e.g. your hair enters the room before you). If you're shaking your head around and touching your hair a lot, that just looks kind of silly. If you have it generally well groomed and not a monstrosity, I think you're fine with the haircut. My son and all his friends have that hair, so every MD's kid has it, too. You're good if you look neat and groomed, and please, don't play with your hair and keep tossing it.
Work in finance (though not IB) and I have to say
PLEASE DO NOT ROCK THAT HAIRCUT
Change your hairstyle to more appropriate style
Timothy Chalamet haircut is good though
LOL this haircut
Gen Zs will do what they want. They don't give a flying f. Nothing you can do. Not worth the battle.
