build quality of different brands
please rank the following based on the quality of their shirts/suits. if you want, specify which label or line of products you're referring to in your post. these are just a few names that i've seen float around here.

Men's Wearhouse Abboud, Hart Schaffner Marx, Tasso-Elba, and Jack Victor suits all come recommended. Good idea to hire your own tailor, though. MW's alterations are generally overpriced and use weak thread. Save $20, get cuffs that won't come undone 4 months later; go with your drycleaner.
MW and JAB will fall apart after 6-12 months, especially after you pack on your extra 30 lbs from the stress and the bad diet.
Guys, I have the same model of Jos. Abboud from both Nordstrom's and MW. It's exactly the same stuff. The difference is that MW is $150 less expensive but their $70 tailoring is worth more like $10.
Buy the suit from MW but get the alterations done somewhere else.
Gilt is the equivalent of a higher end outlet store on the internet. It cycles through flash sales of most of the other brands listed, but isn't actually clothing brand on it's own.
