Change My Mind: Monk Straps Are For Losers

It's late on a Wednesday and it's been a long day. So just looking to stir the pot for a little entertainment . . .

Monk straps are the worst kind of shoe style out there; they are for people that don't love themselves.

Change my mind.

Difficult construction and craftsmanship? Yes. Appealing style? No. These shoes look like something out of "The Lord of the Dance".

I can kinda sorta be on board with this. But "bit loafers" is a huge category. There are some (Gucci, Ferragamo) that will always be classics and you can wear all the time. But, yeah, there are others (especially the cheap ones) that I can see your point.

This - cheap loafers, and cheap men's shoes in general, are simply awful. Might be nothing worse than someone wearing cheap looking, faux leather, squared off shoes. What's with all the super square toed cheap shoes anyway - are they cheaper to produce or something?
