Chinos alright to wear in the office during the week?

Dress code at my office is Business Casual but are Chinos too far? I have 2 really comfortable pairs of chinos from Banana Republic that are Tan/Khaki and Black but are they too informal to wear on weekdays?

I'm incoming first year analyst so don't have a lot of experience here...

This will depend on your office. I would steer clear of them until you have been there a few weeks and see what others do.
