Should I just take off my ear piercings for this summer? Will my MDs think I'm a f*ggot? Has Wall Street become liberal enough for me?

Hey, I'm a fa**ot in AM, and I'm from Jersey, and even I say that not in a million years are any sort of earrings on a male in finance acceptable!!!

Dont wear them if possible, IB remains a sales business and seniors like remaining traditional (clothes, haircuts...)

I'd avoid it, even virtually. Being on the conservative side, especially as an intern, is definitely safer, and you do not want them to end up saying "he did a pretty good job, but I'm not 100% sure we could put him in front of clients." (That would be extreme in my opinion, but I've heard similar stuff in the past regarding appearance details.)

In all seriousness, I'd take them off to be safe. You never know if your MDs are super conservative and care about appearance even over Zoom until it's too late.
