Dont wear them if possible, IB remains a sales business and seniors like remaining traditional (clothes, haircuts...)

I'd avoid it, even virtually. Being on the conservative side, especially as an intern, is definitely safer, and you do not want them to end up saying "he did a pretty good job, but I'm not 100% sure we could put him in front of clients." (That would be extreme in my opinion, but I've heard similar stuff in the past regarding appearance details.)

In all seriousness, I'd take them off to be safe. You never know if your MDs are super conservative and care about appearance even over Zoom until it's too late.
