Goldman Sachs Business Casual?
Hi everyone! I am attending a symposium for Goldman Sachs soon and the dress code is stated as "business casual". I know it isnt too serious but I was wondering what would be appropriate as a female. Also, I am a first year undergrad and unfamiliar with what i would do at a spring symposium. If anyone has any tips/insight that would be great. Thanks!
Hey I'm attending the same thing! Yay!! I'm just going to wear a skirt suit because business casual at Goldman = suits. And it's better to be over dressed than under dressed. Plus, it's a networking day so you're there to impress people so dress the part.
I was thinking a shift dress and jacket. What color is your skirt suit?
Navy! I went to another bank's symposium last week and everyone was in suits so thus I expect everyone to be in suits

Hey GLCIB27 I was wondering if you received any info or further directions from GS. It says that i have been selected but nothing more? What did you receive upon being accepted for the symposium?

I interned at GS. Business casual does not equal suits. But since it is a symposium, I don't think it's a bad idea to go in with a suit. As a guy, I would just ditch the jacket, so it's borderline formal/casual. Not sure the equivalent for girls would be.

I'm wearing a skirt suit because the people we're meeting with are most likely going to be dressed the same.
Do you guys go to school in the NYC/ Northeast US area? I had applied but was rejected due to a lack of proximity (also applied on the last day available if that means anything).

I said, do not wear that outfit again. Wear a dress, a skirt or something. Come on, You're prettier than that. And high heels. I like high heels.
Heels are the best. They go perfect with a skirt suit. Pant suits for women are just a no.
A skirt suit is not bus casual lol they said bus casual and sent out a friendly reminder for a reason
Women have a bit more leeway than men. A few words of advice to keep things "business casual"

I'm going to be working in GS IBD in NYC, I'm putting together my wardrobe for summer and I need to know how many suits to buy. Is the general dress code business casual or formal? Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Is this for all groups, or does dress code differ by group?
When you say "casual", can I assume dress shirt, dress pants, and no tie?
Also, would a rotation of around 5-6 shirts and 3-4 pants be enough?
