Seems totally fine, obviously depends on your work environment, etc. I’m a watch fan and have no issues with it (would have no issues if I saw someone wearing it). The royal oak offshore is a bit tough to pull off in formal setting but standard royal oak is fine. Will add my 2 cents that there are other watches I prefer for that price but most important thing is that you like it.

We don’t have enough time in this world to be worried about how people might be insulted by your RO. You worked hard for it? You like it? Go for it.

It’s one hell of a watch.

Given you’re a VP and not a summer intern, I wouldn’t worry about it in the slightest. Seems like a very appropriate choice for that level of seniority IMO.

I was pretty concerned about this as well considering I am on the younger end. I picked up a very specific and discontinued Daytona model after 3-4 years of saving and hawking forums daily. Since that is an equally distinctive model and design I figured more would notice - Has not been the case. I think that paranoia feeling that “everyone knows” is mostly cracked up in our minds. Granted there are a few watch guys on my floor and we all have very particular serial # models, which gives off the vibe (watch enthusiast to watch enthusiast) that we know our shit beyond a brand name.

Everyone wears a watch now. There are so many different brands that knock off the classics that I really think they just blend in to the pack for the untrained/avg. eye. Honesty a benefit in my opinion.

Go for it! Two guys rock APs that float around me on a daily basis and I have never had a negative thought about how they look in a professional setting. To be honest, I get that thought on some of the ridiculous (but cool) looking Omegas/Panerai models (i.e. bright colors, larger cases etc.)

Especially at the VP-level, you'll be fine.

An overly flashy watch would be weird at any level, so I'd stay away from that.
