So I went to the barneys warehouse sale recently and picked up some nice stuff at really good prices. I was then talking to some of the guys I work with today (I intern at a boutique IB) and was told to check out Maxwell Clothiers. Has anyone every used them or heard about them before? I'm curious to try it out and get a suit or some shirts. From what I understand they are travelling tailors. They will measure you at one of the cities they visit each year and then the are hand-made in Hong Kong.

I've ordered twice from Maxwell. Their stuff is very well priced - about $60/shirt with a minimum order of 4 shirts I believe. That's basically the same price as Brooks Brothers, and they fit far better. No more billowing sail of extra fabric behind you. The fit is great (obviously) since they're custom. I also like them because I can pick the cuff and collar, plus free monogram. The only draw back is that some of the fabrics aren't the thickest in the world, and can really wrinkle easily - I only get one or two wears out of them before they need an iron. All around though - pretty happy.
