Shoe Advice - Allen Edmonds?
I am an undergraduate freshman about to do some interviews for BB PWM local branches, IB boutiques, PE shops, etc. and I need shoe advice.
I still own a pair of black Calvin Klein I bought in high school and I recently cleaned and polished them and they look quite sharp. The only problem is they are square toed (I didn't know any better). Here are the shoes I own:

I really like the black Allen Edmonds Park Ave. and I can afford them but would rather squeeze a little more juice out of my current pair. Also, another problem with the Allen Edmonds is that I am 99% sure they don't sell them in my area so I would have to order them and my interviews are all next week.
Should I risk it for the biscuit and order them straight up without any offer on the table, wait to get receive an offer and then order them, or simply use my current ones all through summer and perhaps consider the Allen Edmonds for my sophomore internship?
Thank you.
You could just take the middle road and by a mid-price cap-toe like the johnston & murphy oxford. However, I am not sure that wearing a "lesser" shoe brand or design is going to be all that important.
Check out the J&M Newell Captoe.... looks really good and copped a pair on ebay of $70 new, factory seconds though.
Being a Freshman; no expectations you would have a top of the line shoe. Get a little more wear out of the shoes you have. Always keep 'em shined and that is what counts most.
Go on ebay and grab a cheaper pair of cap-toe shoes. Cole Haan or Johnston & Murphy will work fine. Hell, I went through two summer internships wear a pair of cap-toe shoes from Dockers.
