Re-solable is a must. Dull the point a bit for a slightly wider toe box, but keep it mordern and sharp.
I hear you on being able to resole - goes a long way in extending the lifetime of the shoe and allows you to keep a "favorite" shoe alive for a loooooong time = good for the planet. I'm also partial to a bit of a wider toe box, but never in the realm of square.
I tried to be nice, but demanding an email at the end was a dick move.
