I don't see how why this book is so ridiculous... sure some of the rules are too specific but banker girls shouldn't wear black nail polish and banker men probably shouldn't show up to a client meeting with messy hair and garlic breath

Why not? If it's a subtle color, sure, the hell. It's like make-up, as long as it's not on in enough quantity to paint the road between NYC and Houston, cool. All things within reason.
