Updating my Business Wardrobe - Australia or Italy?
Next year I will be starting in a graduate role with an MBB. I will need to update my wardrobe (suits, shirts, shoes) and need to decide where I should shop. I currently live in Australia, however will be heading over to Europe towards the end of this year. I will be in Northern Italy for most of the time (~2 months), however am willing to travel to other Western European cities.
Should I do the bulk of my shopping in Milan (or another European city) or in Australia? Will I save much money doing this compared to buying somewhere in Australia?
To add some perspective: I basically want high quality clothing that I can wear every day. I do not yet have the bank account to justify buying a $10,000 bespoke suit, however I am expecting and willing to invest ~$3-4k in total.
Thanks in advance!
London.
I have no clue about shopping in Australia, but Milano is nice. In general, definitely more conservative than Rome or Naples. Have a look at Boggi Milano. I've often heard the term "Italian Brooks Brothers". Apart from that I like Sartoria Rossi. Be sure to hit the saldi season (Aug/Sept and Jan/Feb).
London is nice, too. No doubt about that.
Thanks, I will look out for those places! I'll be there from December to late Jan, so perfect timing for i saldi invernali :D
