Winter clothing

Moving to NYC from Texas and haven't really experienced the cold, not sure how to handle the winter situation. Would appreciate any tips on how to dress formally as well as casual clothes during the winter.

i moved from tx to the midwest for college. Get gloves, ear covers or a hat, pea coat/ oversized coat, good socks. and scarves are a must have

Overcoat, black gloves (prefer leather), shoe covers or boots, scarf which is crucial as hell. I know it's basic but Canada Goose (and Moncler) really has the warmest jackets I've ever used and I can wear a tee under them and be fine outside.

Dressing formally and casually during the winter can be a challenge, but with some careful planning and attention to detail, it is possible to look great in both types of clothing. For formal wear, choose fabrics that are warm and comfortable such as wool or cashmere. Opt for dark colors like black or navy blue to give off a classic, sophisticated vibe. Pair your outfit with a long coat that complements the style of your ensemble.
