I prefer Moncler over Goose. For coat: Reiss. If you can, wait for after season sales, Moncler gets slashed like 20-30%.

The puffy jacket is not a good look with a suit or slacks. Get cashmere, or wool, or a blend. Black, navy or charcoal, single breasted.
I personally also prefer Moncler as the aesthetic is nicer imo and I know it's more expensive but whatever.
To your point, I got the CG with no hood and was rated one of the warmest I think (?). I could wear a t shirt and wear the CG with no issues which is awesome.
