Ceteris paribus, I would take Sagent over BMO by virtue of it being in NYC.

"I do not think that there is any other quality so essential to success of any kind as the quality of perseverance. It overcomes almost everything, even nature."

have spoken with a few people from BMO who mentioned that previous analysts from chicago have moved onto HBS and also to small venture capital shops in the midwest (not chicago). Don't know anything about sagent, but those are two particular paths that 2 analysts have taken.

hopefully it helps

"My name's Ralph Cox, and I'm from where ever's not gonna get me hit"

In terms of exit, I know that BMO analysts have gone on to MM PE funds, debt investing funds (i.e. SBCs, think Prospect Capital), FoFs, and VCs not just in the Midwest but also west coast.
