I get a lot of private messages. I'm sure the more prominent users do too. The inbox UI is a bit challenging for me. I would love the ability to mark a thread as unread (you can currently do this with notifications), and above all, the ability to archive a message without deleting it.
Right now if I read a message and choose not to reply to it immediately, I have no way to know to go back to it other than simply clicking through every message thread to find it again. Similarly, if I want a message out of my visual feed, the only option is to permanently delete it.
Can we add something that's similar to what Gmail pioneered with the archive-but-not-delete option?

Thanks for the suggestion. Dev team is flat out trying to get us on a MAJOR backend upgrader from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8. This basically involves rebuilding the entire site and modules. One of these is the PM module which is/was one of the more challenging ones to port correctly.
I will definitely get this on the feature request, unfortunately it is likely a late summer thing before we could even think about doing something like this since we probably don't make the jump until July and then there will be a mad scramble to get a ton of stuff fixed that will inadvertantly break :-) either way jgsantos - pls add to trello board to look into this post migration.

just wanted to give you an update here. Goal is to make the jump to Drupal 8 on August 10 right now... PM will be different...how so I don't know yet but we will likely be makinf a lot of bug fixes thru Aug + Sept and if it's not how you like it, happy to iterate with you. Thanks
