I dunno, I kind of like it...

I agree, I fear change.

ciboPlease change back.

...looks like we have some mixed reviews. We had a Serif font before for just the titles and a Sans Serif for body. Now we have a Sans font (Lato) for everything. I agree it may be slightly too big, but I also thought that it would make it easier to read.

We got rid of the Small Caps (as you can see from "Forum Topics" and menu titles) which I think looks cleaner, but maybe we look back at what we had before for the sans font in the body or 1 pt smaller in lato.

Let's give it this week and then re-poll everyone. Change is hard and I am shocked everyone isnt saying they hate it honestly. When I first saw it even i recoiled, but after reading site for a bit, I thought it was cleaner and slightly easier to read with larger font. Maybe I am getting too old?

I welcome other thoughts here...

I like it just make it smaller a little bit.

The answer to your question is 1) network 2) get involved 3) beef up your resume 4) repeat -happypantsmcgee WSO is not your personal search function.

Smaller, whole webpage doesn't fit in my standard frame.

make sure your browser's zoom settings are set to 100%

It is, every other webpage displays correctly except WSO, don't really know why. If I have 100% zoom setting, I can't see the Forum Topics, Highest Ranked Content, etc. therefore have to zoom out. Macbook Pro 13, Chrome web browser if it helps in any way.

It's not that bad..you guys are just scared of change. I bet if it was this font to begin with, there wouldn't be any complaints.

I just think that the letters are a bit too big. The font is OK, I really don't care too much about it as long as your next upgrade isn't changing it to cursive or something.

Not sure where to put this, put it seems more relevant here. Can the designers of WSO make it so that you can click an icon next to the thread name, which takes you to your first unread post? It'd make browsing the forum so much easier. Thanks

Just realised it has this. Thanks!.

IlliniProgrammerPlease keep the new font, especially for titles.

yeah, for titles (block headers and forum titles) I am definitely keeping this font. For the body, we may move back, but I want to let it sit a few more days. Not sure...some mixed reviews....and most people hate change, so the fact that some people like it says a lot.

Any other opinions?

Don't mean to hijack this - but - another suggestion. In my last 15 minutes of scrolling through WSO I found it annoying that I couldn't 'thumbs-up' or 'thumbs-down' someone's comment without wasting my wealth of 2 WSOcoins.

'Thumbs-up' & 'Thumbs-down' 'Like' & 'Dislike' button?

because then you would get random assholes giving thumbs down to everything a person writes...like right now, how i'm going to track every thread you've posted in and throw monkey poop at you

Ouch! Haha fair point. It was just a suggestion, all I meant was that there is a lot of content I want to SB but can't because I have very few. Didn't mean it indefinitely, just adding to the suggestion box.

Can anyone transfer me credits so I can make this happen?

Just clarifying that I wasn't trying to insult or degrade the site, nor anyone for that matter. Just saw the thread and thought it would be a good place to voice a thought that I have been coming across over the past week or so. Sorry!

WallStreetOasis.comchanging the body text back to Lucida Grande like we had before, but keeping Lato for our Titles, block titles, menu titles, etc....That way we are still pure Sans Serif, buthopefully you guys find the body text more readable that way.

What about WebDings??
