Hey guys, just wanted to give you the FYI that we are moving to a "new" theme probably by the end of the day tomorrow. I put "new" in quotes because it won't look much different but it is structurally much cleaner on the back end.
Once that is up it will allow us to try and reduce the clutter on the home page and get the menu and header areas in shape...

Ok, we are now on a "new" theme. Even though it looks very similar to our old theme, we tried to simplify the layout with only 1 page template (versus 8 previously). This should further help speed.
A cool new feature is our menus now have drop down sub-menus so you can navigate the site without clicking on the menus.
We still have a lot of "clean-up" to do and we are still working on the "Silver Banana/Monkey Shit" reward system as we speak. Hopefully we can launch it by December.

It looks awesome Patrick, it definitely will save time not having to go back to the forum page, and the highlighting of the comment box when you're typing is a nice addition.
it looks great. But the private messages issue remains unresolved. I think some kind of notification when you receive new messages after you log in would be helpful. Most members probably don't check their inboxes regularly, esp. new members

I've noticed several topics posted recently without a forum selected at all, which I don't think was possible previously - this will mean users who view topics by forum won't ever see those topics. I assume the easiest way to fix it would be to make topic selection required to post a topic.
