New WallStreetOasis.com Coming Soon!

Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to make a quick post to let everyone know that after ~2 months in development we are just a few weeks away from the launch of the new WSO.

The layout will be much cleaner, and we will use a lot of the suggestions many of you made to me this past summer when I was traveling in SE Asia. The new theme should also greatly improve speed and add some new cool community features as well.

We will also soon start publishing a new video blog from Harvard Business TV that will provide market recaps on Monday-Wednesday and Friday.

Stay Tuned, Patrick

Sounds awesome!

So what do you do? -I work for an investment banking firm. Oh okay; you are like my brother, he works for Edward Jones. -No, a college degree is required in my profession

bearingIE7

that's frustrating. I apologize. I've used the site on IE7 from several locations and it seems to work fine for me so that is odd.

I am hoping the new theme will solve a lot of these speed issues though. Pageload speed is high on the To Do list once the new theme is launched.

The new theme will be fixed width and should be much easier to navigate.

Thanks, Patrick

Faster than expected, we expect to be able to launch the new theme as early as tonight -- more likely within 48 hours! ...my web developer has been busting his ass.

It won't be perfect when it is launched and I am sure we will get complaints, but rest assured we will work hard to keep improving it for all of you primates out there. I am really hoping it improves speed.

I think most of you will be pleased with the change - but if not let us hear about it in here.

Thanks, Patrick
