That would make it to easy to steal.
If it's on the web, if it's available to anyone who signs up, it's already easy to get into programmable format without the creator's express consent.
I don't think putting the data on multiple pages, especially in text format, constitutes much deterrent. But that's just me.
Patrick has other methods to deter this, but I don't think Excel spreadsheet vs. website makes much of a difference in terms of deterrence.
They could create a filter for total comp like the ones for base and bonus. Also, it would be useful if the there was a filter for number of years experience.
