Can I just say that I have absolutely fallen in love with this forum. Brilliant people sharing interesting insights all over the place, and no full-time flamers around - yet. Can we please make sure it stays like this - I have been in love with career-focussed communities before, and they all turned from nice young ladies into evil dragons over time. Let's protect this one.

m2, Thank you for the kind words...I can assure you that this forum will stay interesting and entertaining. I am committed to making it a true Oasis for the finance community.
Stay tuned for more features and bloggers that will make it even more rich with content. The site has a LONG way to go but we have an endless list of initiatives that should improve the overall usefulness and entertainment value of the site.
You will always have forum trolls that try to ruin a forum or pick fights. The site is now running on a great content management system that allows me to easily ban IP addresses if I feel (or any of my moderators) feels it is appropriate. We had some trouble in the first few months with certain characters but overall the forums have been filled with people helping each other which is great.

We will soon be introducing a new level of user on WallStreetOasis.com called Certified. Users that are particularly helpful and knowledgeable in a particular industry will be tagged with a certification ribbon. This will help give other users another signaling mechanism (besides banana points) that helps them determine how much weight they should place on advice given. If you are receiving advice from a Certified user, odds are that the advice is accurate and the response will be mature.
