WSO not posting / auto deleting comments?

Idk maybe it’s just me but in the couple months on the mobile I notice I’ll type a whole response out and when I hit post the page reloads, then the comment I wrote out just disappears as if I never wrote it. I rarely have the energy to try to retype it and now it’s getting super annoying. Is it just me?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it seems like you're not alone in experiencing issues with posting comments on the platform. Users have reported similar problems, such as the "post comment" button not appearing or comments disappearing after submission. These issues have been noted particularly on the mobile version of WSO.

Here are a few potential reasons and suggestions:

  1. Technical Bugs: There have been reports of bugs on the platform, including issues with the comment system. For example, some users have mentioned that the "post comment" button doesn't appear or that comments vanish after posting.

  2. Moderation or Automated Rules: WSO has implemented new automated unpublishing rules and moderation efforts to manage content. If your comment triggers certain criteria, it might be automatically unpublished or flagged for review.

  3. Browser or App Issues: If you're using the mobile app or a specific browser, there might be compatibility issues. Some users have reported problems with Chrome, for instance.

Suggestions:

  • Clear Cache and Cookies: If you're using a browser, clearing your cache and cookies might help resolve the issue.
  • Try a Different Browser or Device: Switching to another browser or using the desktop version of WSO could help bypass the problem.
  • Contact WSO Support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to WSO support or posting in the forums to report the bug. They actively encourage users to report such issues for resolution.
