Background checks are mostly to make sure you worked at the places you worked and didn't fabricate anything high level. No need to lie though I guess, nobody would ever question the intelligence of someone with a high GPA in a double STEM major.

Do most funds even ask for SAT score? I think DE Shaw used to, maybe still does. But I've worked at or interviewed at all the top ones, and I don't recall anyone else ever asking for that.
