2nd Year MBA - HF/AM Recruiting Questions

Hi all,

I'm in the 2nd year of my MBA (~top 15) program and, given my situation, will likely be re-recruiting. I was hoping to get some input on what the landscape for full time recruiting looks like at this stage. If you've gone through this process in your 2nd year it'd be great to hear your thoughts.

My questions - difficulty of landing a full time gig post MBA? What's the recruiting time line look like? Feasibility of HF vs AM, etc...? How does full time recruiting differ from internship recruiting (as getting the internship in the first place wasn't easy)? To provide some context, I spent my summer internship at a long only mutual fund (well known firm) working with the research team performing fundamental analysis. Prior to MBA, I do have relevant capital markets experience but not in a sell side or buy side capacity.
