Abdiel Capital 2023

Curious to hear how views have changed on the fund — last year people were hammering them pretty good for poor performance but AUM seems to have risen back up to ~3bn, very lean team but LO. Anyone know what type of fees they can charge? Portfolio seems to have some interesting names.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, Abdiel Capital has been performing exceptionally well. They've been returning high percentages consistently, with returns reaching up to 80% for four years straight. In fact, they've been so successful that their returns have been described as "off the charts".

As for their team, it's been noted that they have a non-traditional interview process, focusing on qualitative research projects rather than standard multi-week case studies. This approach seems to have left a positive impression on those who have gone through it.

Regarding their fees, I'm afraid I don't have that specific information. However, given their impressive performance and unique approach, it wouldn't be surprising if they're able to charge premium fees.

As for their portfolio, it seems they're very selective, focusing on businesses undergoing misunderstood transitions in their business model or quality of moat. They also prioritize finding management teams who are both growth and capital return minded.

In conclusion, Abdiel Capital seems to be a hot shop with a lean but effective team, impressive returns, and a unique approach to investment.
