Active Mgmt vs Passive Investing For Retail

Looking for good article/study on active management vs indexing specifically for retail investors. All the big ones seem to compare to active hedge funds which have issues retail investors dont have to face (fees, size issues, redemptions, marketing, LPs etc).

Also any sort of article about hidden dangers of ETFs etc... passive seems to be the consensus strategy for a lot of people and I want to make sure I am educated on the other side of the coin as I get suspicious when there's a large consensus on something.
