Antara Founder Jumping Ship
Bloomberg article out says at Antara founder Gulati is jumping ship to Marshall Wace. Who has the tea? I know they got reamed in privates the last couple years and were down double digit % two years in a row.
Wait so you can start a fund, blow it up, leave and stiff your investors and have your employees clean up the mess? Lol. Lmao, even.
Bigger question is why MW would hire that way.

Like the article mentioned, they froze assets a year ago. Most of their analysts have already left.
This is like third hand info but apparently they were repeating their AMC trade in some really risky stuff and it came back to bite them.
If I'm going to be totally honest, I also felt like a few folks there liked to keep it high level. Not uncommon for people with credit backgrounds, but a poor choice if you're going to branch out to situations outside of your domain.
