Anyone has ideas about data scientist roles in Point72/Two Sigma/Citadel?

I am currently a data scientist with 3+ YOE working in a non-finance company (based in NYC). I do have a MFE degree but I did not do quant after graduation.

I am planning to go into hedge fund and would love to get some suggestions on how I could make the transition.

Considering that my work experience after MFE is not quant-related and I am not a NG any more, it is very difficult to directly start as a quant in the fund so I am thinking through preparing for the data science related roles in these companies.

However, there are not many info about these roles on the Internet and I haven’t got much response on my LinkedIn outreach so far.

So, just would like to ask if anyone in the forum have any ideas about 1) What do data scientists do in these funds normally? 2) How are their responsibilities different from the quant researcher? 3) What DS skills are valued the most in these roles? I am planning to sharpen them before application. 4) How did you pass the resume screen? I am planning to reuse my MFE alumni network to see if I could get any referral opportunities after the hiring freeze ends but any other suggestions would still be appreciated.

Thanks :)
