I've never worked at a Tiger relative, but anyone else surprised he was long VIAC / DISCA and names like that? Seems hard to square with their "style"... and swinging for the fences on massive squeeze trades?

Those are not value names. He saw the DIS breakout, saw what happened to large media after covid. Check out their charts in 2020-2021 they scream alpha seeking scary as vol not “value”.
I was referring more to the squeeze aspect. And not all Tiger cubs are created equally. You think Stephen Mandel or Julian Robertson himself are the type of guys who would so flagrantly insider trade as to incur serious consequences not once but twice?
