Best book for financial statement analysis?

What is your favourite, no BS, ONE book on financial statement analysis that teaches you in SIMPLE LANGUAGE

  • how to analyse financial statement of a company

  • what line items to focus on and what not etc?

I recently read a good one called Financial Shenanigans that teaches you how to detect fraud in a company.

Am looking for some BEST books on financial analysis

There's a dude teaching at Columbia named Doron Nissim, he has several materials on analysing financials & spotting weird patterns (not necessarily fraud but like leading indicators for future drops in performance). He's quite dry but the materials are pretty good and, crucially, quite actionable.

That's the 530 page paper he gives to students, you can use it as a tool to specifically research line items.
