Best HC Pods / PMs
What are the best healthcare pods out there? As someone interviewing with several HC teams at the big platforms (and new to the industry), it's been hard to figure out who has a good reputation / track record. Specifically looking to cover therapeutics within a healthcare / biotech book

Top Biotech VC Funds: If you're looking at early-stage therapeutics, funds like Atlas Venture, Third Rock, 5AM Ventures, Flagship, Orbimed, Versant, and ARCH are considered the "MBB/Bulge Bracket" of biotech VC. They lead many Series A deals and are highly respected in the space.
Late-Stage Biotech VC Funds: Sofinnova, Longitude, and Clarus are notable players in late-stage biotech VC. These funds have historically hired finance/consulting professionals without PhDs, though the trend is shifting towards more PhD-heavy teams.

The best pod is the one where the PM actually cares about your career development, knows your coverage well, and has made money historically consistently (and is willing to disclose this to you) in that area. That is not actually going to have high correlation with the HC pods generally perceived as great

Also adding - Peter Goodwin, Passaic, Jeff green are all stalwarts for pan-HC teams

P72 only has (still) has good pure biopharma guys given recent turnover

Very old school guy, runs super hierarchical structure with a football team of analysts. No one gets to see positions or PnL apart from him. Think there are better guys in Europe, especially when it comes to working for them as an analyst and learning.
