Best Hedge Fund strategies for career Progression?
Curious if anyone had thoughts on the following strategies: L/S vs Event Driven vs Global Macro vs Activist.
Would be helpful to comment on the following: amount of bottoms-up analyses used, transferability of IB coverage skills, career progression between SM and MM, most intellectually stimulating work.
In my opinion macro funds are the easy answer, but take that with a huge grain of salt as I'm extremely biased.
Because of the ability to invest in several different security types? Attention to large-scale events and their impacts on the country-wide level?
Based on what? I'm not sure I agree with that. Good seats are incredibly rare and very top heavy.
