Best pathway to recruiting for MM HF/PE in London: IB SA or LO SA?
Hi, I received offers from a BB SA for IB (Citi/BofA) and from a LO buyside in ER/Investing (T Rowe/Fidelity/Cap) both in London.
If my end goal is to recruit for top HF/PE roles either for another summer or direct to FT what would be my best bet? I am not too sure how well-perceived LO Buyside roles for SA are seen in London and if that is going to be useful in transitioning to a MM HF or PE, whilst the IB SA stint seems to be more well established pathway. Return offer chances will be higher in the BB but both have chance of conversion.
PE and MMHF are different jobs. IB is ideal for PE, it’s ok for MMHF. LO SA is great for MMHF, but I’ll suited for PE.
