Orbis Investments (40b AUM) preaches an ultra-contrarian deep-value approach that I always found interesting but returns have been meh for the past decade.
Underperformance could very well be due to macro reasons/growth outperforming value. But in any event thought it’s worth mentioning as these guys really stick to their mantra and has a long history.
