Boeing - Curious about their profitability

Hey guys,

This might be a dumb question but I was looking at the Boeing Co. (NYSE: BA) for our student-run investment fund. After looking through their 10-K, investor presentations and various other sources. They aren't gonna be generating any profits. However, if you look at the airline industry, they are somewhat back to pre-pandemic levels in terms of margins. What is happening between aerospace & airlines? Is Boeing just not selling their products for profits or is there some other internal issue?

Does anyone have any insight or knowledge about why this might be?

Thanks in advance :)
