Changing coverage

• Have you ever changed your coverage substantially for a new gig (e.g., industrials to healthcare)? To what type of shop did you go?
• Why did you do it? Voluntarily, or because there were no open seats in your coverage?
• How difficult was it to get a seat outside your coverage? Were you fully transparent about it during interviews, or did you fake it?

I'm no longer in love with my coverage, but I'm not sure if it's possible to switch without getting downgraded substantially (responsibility-wise).
