There are firings but people understand up or out culture so my sense is a lot of people leave before they are actually axed; always feeling around

If only there was a tool where you can filter for ppl based on their past jobs…………..

Determined

Know a bunch of people that do/have worked there, mostly on privates. There's an investment committee on the private side where GPs are the decision makers. For publics I was under the impression that there's Sector Heads that are like sub-PMs to Philippe,  Open to corrections here.

Private

Managing Directors/Head of = Run all investments in a certain stage, they have a head of Venture and head of Growth

General Partners = Partner, buy into the GP pool and have a large portion of economics

VP = Principal, run deals on their own and support a GP

Partner/Investor = Associate, support GPs and VPs, I believe they still have carry

Public

Philippe = CIO

Sector Heads = PMs that run sector focused books, I think there are 4

Investor/Analyst/Partner = analysts rolling up to PMs

Adding my post from another thread.

Have heard first hand much higher numbers for sector heads, performance dependent of course. But $5-10 over past few years not at all unheard of, though some guys have gotten materially less and have left as a result (and for other reasons).
